Optimal spirometry result need preparation of device, subiect preparation, good maneuver test, continue quality evaluation, prediction value and accurate iesult analysis. Some of pr:eparation for optimal spirometry result are : a. Device operator Device operator must have enough knowledge and understand about the aim of the test' Operator capable to give instruction about good and accurate maneuver of the test. Training with sertification from organization that recommended by American thoracic society or local professional organization Device preparation Spirometer that used for the test must routine calibrate. For volume and flow minimally every 1 weeks and mouthpiece must be disposibble. Subject preparation subject understand about the aim of the test, maneuver of the test. operator could be give example of the maneuver to the sub.iect. Some of information for preparation of the test are not smoking within 2 hours before test, do not much eat before test, don't used restriction clothes, not use bronchodilator drugs minimally 8 hours for short acting and 24 hours for long acting drugs' Environment condition spirometry should be done in good ventilation room and room temperature should not less than 17C or more than 40 C.
