Hubungan Job Satisfaction dan Faktor Okupasi dengan CaringBehavior Perawat Ruang Rawat Inap Penyakit Dalam RumahSakit X di Kota Bandung = Association between Job Satisfaction and Occupational Factorswith Caring Behavior of Internal Medicine Inpatient Unit Nursesat Hospital X in Bandung City.
Latar Belakang: Caring behavior merupakan indikator work performance yangpenting. Nursing shortage secara langsung meningkatkan beban kerja perawat unitrawat inap, sehingga perawat lebih memprioritaskan asuhan keperawatan fisik danmengesampingkan caring behavior. Kondisi ini mempengaruhi kecepatanpemulihan pasien serta menurunkan patient satisfaction dan job satisfactionperawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dan hubungan caringbehavior dengan job satisfaction dan faktor okupasi yang mempengaruhinya padaperawat rawat inap.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan suatu studi potong lintang. Total sampel 103perawat unit rawat inap penyakit dalam. Uji perbandingan proporsi dan logistikregresi dilakukan untuk menilai hubungan antara job satisfaction, faktor okupasidan lingkungan fisik dengan caring behavior perawat berdasarkan perspektifpasien(n p a s i e n = 412). Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas kuesioner karakteristikindividu, okupasi dan persepsi lingkungan fisik; CBI-24 bahasa Indonesia ( aCronbach = 0,954) untuk menilai caring behavior; dan MNPJSS bahasa Indonesiauntuk mengukur job satisfaction.Hasil: Prevalensi caring behavior ‘sangat baik’ 75,7% dan ‘baik’ 24,3%, serta jobsatisfaction ‘sangat tinggi dan tinggi’ 68,9%. Pada analisis bivariat, hanya faktor masakerja yang menunjukkan hubungan signifikan dengan caring behavior perawat (p = 0,009,OR 4,6, 95%, CI 1,457-14,520).Kesimpulan: Hampir semua perawat rawat inap memiliki caring behavior baikmenurut perspektif pasien, yang kemungkinan berhubungan dengan programedukasi dan pelatihan yang diberikan secara intensif pada staf keperawatan. Masakerja menjadi faktor yang berhubungan signifikan dengan caring behavior.

Background: Caring behavior is an important indicator of work performance. Thenursing shortage directly increases the workload of inpatient unit nurses; hence, nurseswill prioritize physical nursing care and ignore caring behavior. This condition affectspatient’s recovery, patient satisfaction, and the nurses’ satisfaction themselves. Thisstudy aimed to describe and determine the association between caring behavior with jobsatisfaction and occupational factors among nurses.Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study. A total of 103 inpatientroom nurses in the internal medicine unit was included. Comparative proportionand logistic regression tests were conducted to assess the association between jobsatisfaction, occupational factors, and the physical environment with nurses' caringbehavior based on the perspective of patients (n patients = 412). The instrumentsused consisted of questionnaires on individual characteristics, occupations andperceptions of the physical environment. The Indonesian versions of the CaringBehaviors Inventory (CBI)-24 and Misener Nurse Practitioner Job SatisfactionScale (MNPJSS) were used to assess caring behavior and job satisfaction,respectively.Results: The prevalence ofnurses with 'very good' and ‘good’ caring behavior was 75.7%and 24.3%, respectively. Job satisfaction was 'very high and high' in 68.9% of nurses. Inbivariate analysis, only 'years of service' showed a significant association with nurses'caring behavior (p = 0.009, OR 4.6, 95%, CI 1.457-14.520).Conclusion: Almost all inpatient nurses have good caring behavior from thepatient's perspective, which is probably related to education and training programsgiven intensively to the nursing staff. Years of service is a statistically significantfactor associated with caring behavior.
