Hubungan Self-esteem dengan Persepsi terhadap Kemampuan Menerima dan Mengelola Umpan Balik Pada Mahasiswa Kedokteran Tahap Akademik di Universitas Indonesia = The Relationship between Self-Esteem and Perceptions of the Ability to Receive and Manage Feedback in Academic Medical Students at the University of Indonesia.
Latar Belakang Umpan balik berperan penting untuk perbaikan kompetensi mahasiswa. Efektivitasnya dipengaruhi cara pemberian serta kemampuan mahasiswa menerima dan mengelola masukan tersebut. Self-esteem adalah salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi pemrosesan umpan balik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai hubungan tingkat self-esteem dengan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kemampuan menerima dan mengelola umpan balik. Metode Penelitian kuantitatif observasional ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan stratified random sampling. Self-esteem diukur menggunakan Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) sedangkan kemampuan menerima dan mengelola umpan balik diukur dengan Feedback Literacy Scale (FLS). Data diambil melalui google form kemudian dilakukan uji deskriptif dan uji normalitas. Uji statistik dilakukan dengan chi-square untuk hubungan bivariat serta regresi logistik sederhana untuk menghitung odds ratio. Hasil Dari 109 responden, distribusi self-esteem tinggi 53,2% (n=58 responden), rendah 25,7% (n=28 responden), sedang 21,1% (n=23 responden). Hasil FLS menunjukkan sebagian besar responden (83,5%) memiliki kemampuan umpan balik baik dan sisanya (16,5%) tergolong dalam kategori cukup. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara tingkat self-esteem dan kemampuan menerima serta mengelola umpan balik (p = 0,007). Analisis regresi logistik lebih lanjut menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan self-esteem rendah memiliki OR = 0,208 (95% CI: 0,066–0,653) untuk memiliki kemampuan umpan balik yang baik. Kesimpulan Self-esteem berhubungan dengan persepsi kemampuan menerima serta mengelola umpan balik. Mahasiswa dengan self-esteem rendah memiliki peluang 79,2% lebih kecil untuk memiliki kemampuan menerima dan mengelola umpan balik secara baik dibandingkan mahasiswa dengan self-esteem tinggi.

Introduction Feedback is essential for improving student competency, and its effectiveness depends on both its delivery and the student's ability to process it. Self-esteem is a key factor influencing how students respond to feedback. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem levels and students' perceived ability to receive and manage feedback. Method This quantitative observational study used a cross-sectional design with stratified random sampling. Self-esteem was measured using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), while the ability to receive and manage feedback was measured using the Feedback Literacy Scale (FLS). Data were collected via Google Forms, followed by descriptive analysis and normality tests. Statistical tests were performed using the chi-square test for bivariate relationships and simple logistic regression. Results Of the 109 respondents, the distribution of self-esteem was high in 53.2% ofrespondents (n = 58), low in 25.7% ofrespondents (n = 28), and moderate in 21.1% ofrespondents (n = 23). The FLS results showed that most respondents (83.5%) demonstrated good feedback skills, while 16.5% were moderate. Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between self-esteem levels and the ability to receive and manage feedback (p = 0.007). Logistic regression showed that students with low self-esteem had an OR = 0.208 (95% CI: 0.066–0.653) for having good feedback skills. Conclusion Self-esteem influences the perceived ability to receive and manage feedback. Students with low self-esteem were 79.2% less likely to receive and manage feedback effectively than students with high self-esteem.
