Pengaruh HIIT dan MICT Terhadap Kadar Interleukin-6 Serum, Kadar Siklooksigenase-2 Ginjal, dan Jumlah Neutrofil pada Ginjal Model Tikus Hipertensi Induksi L-NAME = HIIT and MICT Effect on Serum Interleukin-6 Levels, Renal Cyclooxygenase-2 Levels, and Renal Neutrophil Counts in L-NAME-Induced Hypertensive Rat Models.

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit kronis paling umum di dunia dan menjadi faktor risiko utama komplikasi kardiovaskular serta kerusakan organ target, termasuk ginjal. Salah satu mekanisme utama kerusakan ginjal adalah aktivasi proses inflamasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh highintensity interval training (HIIT) dan moderate intensity continuous training (MICT) terhadap kadar interleukin-6 (IL-6) serum, siklooksigenase-2 (COX-2) ginjal, dan akumulasi neutrofil ginjal pada model tikus hipertensi. Sebanyak 24 tikus Wistar jantan dibagi ke dalam empat kelompok: kontrol, L-NAME, LNAME+HIIT, dan L-NAME+MICT. N(ω)-Nitro-L-Arginine Methyl Ester (LNAME) diberikan secara oral dengan dosis 40 mg/kgBB/hari selama lima minggu. Intervensi HIIT dan MICT dilakukan lima kali per minggu selama lima minggu. Hasil menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan kadar IL-6 (p = 0,168) dan COX-2 (p = 0,292) antar kelompok. Namun, kelompok L-NAME+HIIT dan LNAME+MICT menunjukkan jumlah neutrofil ginjal yang lebih rendah dibandingkan kelompok L-NAME (p = 0,029 dan p = 0,012), tanpa perbedaan antara HIIT dan MICT (p = 0,694). Intervensi HIIT dan MICT pada tikus hipertensi menurunkan akumulasi neutrofil ginjal, tetapi tidak memengaruhi kadar IL-6 dan COX-2. Intervensi HIIT dan MICT memberikan efek yang serupa terhadap kadar IL-6, COX-2, dan jumlah neutrofil ginjal pada model tikus hipertensi.

Hypertension is one of the most common chronic diseases in the world and a major risk factor for cardiovascular complications and target organ damage, including the kidneys. One of the main mechanisms of kidney damage is the activation of the inflammatory process. This study aims to determine the effect of high-intenity interval training (HIIT) and moderate intensity continuous training (MICT) on serum interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels, renal cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) levels, and renal neutrophil accumulation in a rat model of hypertension. A total of 24 male Wistar rats were divided into four groups: control, L-NAME, L-NAME+HIIT, and L-NAME+MICT. N(ω)-Nitro-L-Arginine Methyl Ester (L-NAME) was administered orally at a dose of 40 mg/kgBB/day for five weeks. HIIT and MICT interventions were conducted five times per week for five weeks. Results showed no significant difference in IL-6 (p = 0.168) and COX-2 (p = 0.292) levels between groups. However, the L-NAME+HIIT and L-NAME+MICT groups showed lower renal neutrophil counts than the L-NAME group (p = 0.029 and p = 0.012), with no difference between HIIT and MICT (p = 0.694). HIIT and MICT interventions in hypertensive rats decreased renal neutrophil accumulation, but did not affect IL-6 and COX-2 levels. HIIT and MICT interventions had similar effects on IL-6, COX- 2, and renal neutrophil counts in the hypertensive rat model.
