Biomarker Infeksi IL1β, IL6, TNFα, CRP, Profil Besi dan Seng Pada Anak Dengan Stunting Usia 6-59 bulan :Subanalisis SEANUT II = Biomarkers Of Infection IL1β, IL6, TNFα, CRP, Iron and Zinc Profile In Children With Stunting Aged 6-59 Month : SEANUT II Sub Analysis.
Latar Belakang: Prevalensi balita dengan perawakan pendek (stunting) di Indonesia mencapai 30,8% (Riskesdas 2018). Sitokin proinflamasi seperti TNF-α, IL-1β, dan IL-6 diketahui dapat menghambat pertumbuhan tulang melalui berbagai mekanisme. Stunting juga berkaitan erat dengan defisiensi zat besi dan seng, terutama di negara berkembang. Metode: Sub-analisis ini menggunakan data sekunder dari SEANUTS II dengan desain potong lintang. Penelitian menganalisis hubungan antara kadar sitokin (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF- α), mikronutrien (seng, zat besi), dan status perawakan anak usia 6–59 bulan. Hasil: Dari 100 subjek, 49 anak tergolong stunted dan 51 non-stunted. Pendidikan orang tua lebih rendah pada kelompok stunted. Median kadar sitokin dan mikronutrien berbeda antara kelompok, namun tidak signifikan secara statistik (IL-1β p=0,344; IL-6 p=0,121; TNF-α p=0,213). Defisiensi feritin dan seng hanya ditemukan pada kelompok stunted, tetapi tidak signifikan (p > 0,05). Diskusi: Perbedaan kadar biomarker IL Iβ, IL-6, serta TNF-α, dan mikronutrien antara kelompok menunjukkan tidak signifikan secara statistik. Hal ini diduga disebabkan oleh keterbatasan jumlah sampel dan dominasi subjek dari wilayah urban. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik antara kadar IL- 1β, IL-6, TNF-α, feritin, dan seng dengan status perawakan anak (stunted vs non-stunted).

Background: The prevalence of stunted children under five in Indonesia reached 30.8%, according to the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas). Proinflammatory cytokines Huminsa Rantosuch as TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 are known to inhibit bone growth through various mechanisms. Stunting is also closely associated with deficiencies in iron and zinc, particularly in developing countries. Methods: This study is a sub-analysis using secondary data from the South East Asian Nutrition Surveys (SEANUTS) II with a cross-sectional design. It aimed to analyze the relationship between cytokine levels (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α), micronutrients (zinc and iron), and stature status in children aged 6–59 months. Results: Of 100 subjects, 49 were classified as stunted and 51 as non-stunted. Parental education levels were lower in the stunted group. Median cytokine and micronutrient levels differed between groups but were not statistically significant (IL-1β p=0.344; IL-6 p=0.121; TNF-α p=0.213). Ferritin and zinc deficiencies were found only in the stunted group but were also not statistically significant (p > 0.05). Discussion: Although differences in IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and micronutrient levels were observed between groups, these were not statistically significant. This may be attributed to the limited sample size and the predominance of urban-dwelling subjects. Conclusion: No statistically significant association was found between levels of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, ferritin, and zinc and the stature status of children (stunted vs. non-stunted).
