Introduction Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common metabolic-endocrine disease that can be found in women in reproductive age. Polycystic ovary syndrome is a condition that is closely correlated to obesity and increase of adipose tissue, which can be measured by waist circumference and visceral fat level. Thus, this study aims to analyse the correlation of obesity with waist circumference and visceral fat in polycystic ovary syndrome and control patients. . Method This research is a retrospective analytical study that uses cross-sectional method and utilize medical records from patients in Klinik Yasmin, Rumah Sakit Cipto Mangunkusumo Kencana. The independent variable is the body mass index, meanwhile the dependent variable is the waist circumference and visceral fat level. Results This research has found a significant difference in WC and VF among different BMI parameters. When comparing PCOS and the control group in their BMI-matched group, only the Obese group had a significant difference in WC and VF.
