Analisis Kesesuaian Penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri di Berbagai Fasilitas Pelayanan Kesehatan Berdasarkan Standar Alat Pelindung Diri untuk Penanganan Covid-19 pada Kasus Pandemi Covid-19 Tahun 2021 = Suitability Analysis of Personal Protective Equipment Usage in Various Healthcare Facilities Based on Personal Protective Equipment Standard to Handle Covid-19 in the 2021 Covid-19 Pandemic Cases.

Introduction Personal protective equipment, or PPE, has become a concern during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is not only the healthcare workers, but also the general public who are increasingly using personal protective equipment to prevent the transmission of SARSCoV-2. However, up to this point, it is not known how well the suitability of personal protective equipment usage in Indonesia, especially by healthcare workers who are on the front lines in facing the Covid-19 pandemic. Method This research began with the collection of secondary data from a study conducted in the Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia in 2021. There were 317 subjects from this secondary data, who were healthcare workers working during the Covid-19 pandemic in various healthcare facilities in Indonesia. The suitability of the subjects' use of personal protective equipment was analyzed based on the level of personal protective equipment usage according to the prevailing standards at the time the subjects were working. Results For the use of level one personal protective equipment, 88.95% of subjects were appropriate, and 11.05% were inappropriate. At level two, 79.17% of subjects used personal protective equipment appropriately, and the remaining 20.83% were inappropriate. It was found that 63.63% of subjects were appropriate in the use of level three personal protective equipment, while 36.37% were inappropriate. The proportion of appropriate use of personal protective equipment at levels one to three was 78.55%, while the inappropriate use was 21.45%. Conclusion The majority of personal protective equipment usage at levels one to three is already appropriate. The percentage of subjects who are appropriate in the use of personal protective equipment is highest at level one, followed by level two and three. In total, about one-fifth of the subjects are inappropriate in using personal protective equipment based on their respective levels.
