Studi Meta-Analisis Faktor Risiko Makan Daging Mentah dan Kontak dengan Hospes Definitif pada Pasien Toksoplasmosis Okular = A Meta-analysis Study: Risk Factors of Eating Raw Meat and Contact with Definitive Host among Ocular Toxoplasmosis Patients.

Toksoplasmosis okular merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan Toxoplasma gondii. Infeksi parasit ini telah tersebar di seluruh dunia terutama di negara tropis. Akibat yang ditimbulkannya bervariasi mulai asimtomatis sampai mengakibatkan kebutaan. Kebiasaan makan daging mentah dan kontak dengan hospes definitif merupakan faktor risiko yang berperan dalam terjadinya toksoplasmosis okular. Penelitian terkait faktor risiko toksoplasmosis telah banyak dilakukan, namun penelitian tentang faktor risiko toksoplasmosis okular masih sangat terbatas dan masih diperdebatkan, sehingga perlu dibuat suatu penelitian meta-analisis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penelusuran artikel yang dipublikasikan sesuai dengan alur pada diagram Prisma secara online melalui PubMed, Google Scholar, Hindawi, Cochrane library, Science direct, DOAJ, Public Library of Science (PloS) dengan menggunakan kata kunci risk factors, toxoplasmosis, Toxoplasma gondii infection toxoplasmosis ocular dan untuk memperluas pencarian digunakan kata kunci ocular parasite, retinochoroiditis. Pencarian artikel dilakukan dengan menggunakan kata kunci dan terminologi Mesh menggunakan Quatation mark “”, boolean operator “OR” dan “AND”. Hasil penelusuran menggunakan kata kunci diperoleh 4.511 artikel. Selanjutnya berdasarkan judul diperoleh 107 artikel. Kemudian dilakukan penapisan dan telaah sehingga diperoleh 3 artikel yang sesuai untuk dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak Review Manager 5.3. Nilai gabungan dari hasil meta analisis untuk faktor risiko kebiasaan makan daging mentah diperoleh nilai p=0,86 dengan OR 1,08 (CI 95% 0,47-2,46). Sedangkan faktor risiko kontak dengan hospes definitif didapatkan nilai p=0,26 dengan OR 1,38 (CI 95% 0,792,42). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan faktor risiko kebiasaan makan daging mentah dan kontak dengan hospes definitif dengan kejadian toksoplasmosis okular.

Ocular toxoplasmosis is a disease caused by Toxoplasma gondii. This parasitic infection is spread throughout the world, especially in tropical countries. The consequences vary from asymptomatic to blindness. The habit of eating raw meat and contact with the definitive host are risk factors that play a role in the occurrence of ocular toxoplasmosis. Research related to risk factors for toxoplasmosis has been widely carried out, but research on risk factors for ocular toxoplasmosis is still very limited and still debated, so it is necessary to make a meta-analysis study. Data collection was carried out through searching articles in accordance with the flow on the Prisma diagram online through PubMed, Google Scholar, Hindawi, Cochrane library, Science direct, DOAJ, Public Library of Science (PloS) with the keywords risk factors, toxoplasmosis, Toxoplasma gondii toxoplasmosis infection ocular and for the expansion of the search used the keyword ocular parasite, retinochoroiditis. The search for articles was carried out using keywords and Mesh terminology using the Quatation mark "", the boolean operators "OR" and "AND". Search results using keywords obtained 4,511 articles. Furthermore, based on the title obtained 107 articles. Then, screening and analysis were carried out to obtain 3 articles that were suitable for analysis using Review Manager 5.3 software. The combined value of the results of the meta-analysis for risk factors for eating raw meat was obtained by p value = 0.86 with OR 1.08 (95% CI 0.47-2.46). Meanwhile, the risk factor for contact with the definitive host obtained p value = 0.26 with OR 1.38 (95% CI 0.79-2.42). These results showed that there was no relationship between the risk factors for eating raw meat and contact with the definitive host with the incidence of ocular toxoplasmosis.
