Pengaruh Edukasi pada Polisi mengenai Peran Departemen psikiatri forensik dan Peran Visum Et Repertum Psikiatrikum dalam Kasus Kekerasan = Effects of Education about Role of Forensic Psychiatry and VeRP to Police/Investigator Officer In Managing Violence Cases.

Pendahuluan: Polisi merupakan aparat yang bertugas dalam melindungi dan menangani kasus kekerasan. Polisi dapat dibantu psikiater dalam menangani kasus kekerasan. Walaupun sudah ada kerjasama departemen psikiatri forensik dan kepolisian yang diatur dalam undang-undang, belum diketahui bagaimana tingkat pengetahuan polisi di Indonesia terhadap peran psikiater dan peran VeRP dalam menangani kasus kekerasan. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimental analitik dengan metode pretest-posttest pada sampel penyidik, yaitu mengukur tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Uji analisis bivariat dilakukan menggunakan SPSS 20, dengan menggunakan uji utama menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil: Analisis menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan adanya peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan polisi sebelum (7(022)) dan sesudah edukasi (9(0-22)) (p=0.001). Terdapat korelasi negatif (p=0.048 r= 0.251) yang sangat lemah antara skor pengetahuan pretest terhadap umur dan lama bekerja. Kesimpulan: Hubungan signifikan ditemukan pada edukasi kepada polisi mengenai peran psikiater dan peran VeRP.

Introduction: Police officer is law enforcer which protects and manage violence cases. Police officer is helped by forensic psychiatry in managing some violence cases related to mental disorder. Although the collaboration between both fields are already regulated by Indonesian law, there is no research regarding the depth of this collaboration. In addition, police officer’s level of knowledge regarding role of psychiatry forensic and VeRP in managing violence case is still unknown. Methods: This study used quasi experimental design with pretest-posttest methods to measure police/investigator’s knowledge about violence risk and VeRP, before and after one seminar education. Analysis was done with SPSS programme using Wilcoxon Test. Results: Analysis showed that there is significant increase of police officer’s knowledge before and after education (p=0,001). There is also a very weak negative correlation (p=0.048 r= -0.251) between pretest score with age. Conclusion: Significant increment of police’s knowledge indicates a necessity for the material to be implemented in officer’s formal study programme. However, not all of our study’s sample has experience managing violence cases. Therefore, further research in officer who specifically involved in managing violence cases is necessary.
