“Standardisasi Instrumen Ekspresi Emosi Wajah Versi Indonesia” = “Standardization of Indonesian Version Facial Expression of Emotion Instrument”.

Latar Belakang: Skizofrenia dapat mengganggu kemampuan persepsi ekspresi wajah. Gangguan ini telah terbukti berdampak negatif terhadap kehidupan pasien. Interpretasi ekspresi emosi wajah dipengaruhi oleh etnis dan budaya. Belum tersedia instrument interpretasi emosi wajah berdasarkan budaya Indonesia. Tujuan: Melakukan standardisasi Instrumen Ekspresi Emosi Wajah Versi Indonesia di antara orang sehat. Metode: Mahasiswa kedokteran Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi diminta untuk memilih jenis emosi, valensi emosi, dan arousal emosi dari 69 foto wajah yang telah divalidasi oleh psikiater. Foto wajah yang ditampilkan merupakan foto wajah dari sepuluh aktor yang ditampilkan secara acak 7 jenis emosi dasar (netral, bahagia, sedih, marah, terkejut, jijik, takut). Hasil: Seratus enam mahasiswa kedokteran terdiri dari 43 (40.6%) laki-laki dan 63 (59.4%) perempuan dengan rerata usia adalah 20 (18-22) tahun serta memiliki skor BAI (Beck Anxiety Inventory) yaitu 16.18±9.3 dan skor BDI (Beck Depression Inventory) yaitu 16 mengenali dan menginterpretasikan ekspresi emosi wajah dari 69 foto wajah untuk memperoleh nilai standar (rerata konsistensi, skor valensi, dan skor arousal) dan confusion matrix Instrumen Ekspresi Emosi Wajah Versi Indonesia. Rerata konsistensi tiap jenis emosi antara lain senang (86.5%), terkejut (84.2%), marah (76.5%), netral (75.9%), jijik (71.6%), sedih (58.4%), dan takut (50%). Berdasarkan confusion matrix pada penelitian ini, jenis emosi yang sering membuat partisipan bingung adalah takut (50%) dan jijik (32.1%). Skor valensi tiap jenis emosi antara lain senang (4±0.4), netral (3±0.3), terkejut (2.7±0.2), jijik (2.2±0.1), sedih (2.1±0.2), marah (2.1±0.2), dan takut (2). Skor arousal tiap jenis emosi antara lain senang (3.6±0.3), takut (3.5), sedih (3.4±0.2), marah (3.4±0.2), terkejut dan jijik (3.3±0.2), netral (2.9±0.4). Kesimpulan: Instrumen Ekspresi Emosi Wajah Versi Indonesia memiliki nilai standar yaitu konsistensi, valensi, dan arousal; dan confusion matrix dari 7 emosi dasar yaitu netral, senang, sedih, marah, terkejut, jijik, dan takut.

Background: Schizophrenia may impair their ability facial expression perception. These disturbances have been shown to impact negatively patients’ life. Interpretation of facial expression of emotion is influenced by the ethnicity and culture. Not yet available facial emotion interpretation instrument that based on Indonesian culture. Aim: This study has goal to standardize of Indonesian Version Facial Expression of Emotion Instrument among healthy person. Method: Medical students of Faculty of Medicine University of Indonesia that corresponding to inclusion criteria asked to choose type of emotion, emotion valency, and emotion arousal from 69 facial photos that validated by psychiatrists. The showed facial photos are photos from ten actors that show randomly 7 basic emotion type (neutral, happiness, sadness, anger, surprised, disgust, fear). Result: One hundred and six medical students consist of 43 (40.6%) men and 63 (59.4%) women with age average is 20 (18-22) years and having BAI (Beck Anxiety Inventory) score were 16.18±9.3 and BDI (Beck Depression Inventory) score were 16 recognize and interpret facial expression of emotion from 69 facial photos to get standard value (consistency average, valency score, and arousal score) and confusion matrix of Indonesian Version Facial Expression of Emotion Instrument. Consistency average for each emotion i.e. happiness (86.5%), surprised (84.2%), anger (76.5%), neutral (75.9%), disgust (71.6%), sadness (58.4%), and fear (50%). Confusion matrix in this study showed emotion that often makes participants confuse are fear (50%) and disgust (32.1%). Valency score for each emotion i.e. happiness (4±0.4), neutral (3±0.3), surprised (2.7±0.2), disgust (2.2±0.1), sadness (2.1±0.2), anger (2.1±0.2), and fear (2). Arousal score for each emotion i.e. happiness (3.6±0.3), fear (3.5), sadness(3.4±0.2), anger (3.4±0.2), surprised and disgust (3.3±0.2), neutral (2.9±0.4). Conclusion: Indonesian Version Facial Expression of Emotion Instrument has standard of consistency, valency, and arousal; and confusion matrix of 7 basic emotion i.e. neutral, happiness, sadness, anger, surprised, disgust, and fear.
