Evaluation Of Albumin Serum Level Difference Pre And Post Tangential Excision Procedure In Burn Patients = Evaluasi Perbedaan Nilai Albumin Serum Sebelum Dan Setelah Tindakan Eksisi Tangensial Pada Pasien Luka Bakar.

Background: Tangential excision in burn patients results in blood loss, with an average of 100 ml per 1% Total Body Surface Area (TBSA) excised. This will be accompanied by the decrease of albumin, and emphasized by the inflammatory process, capillary leakage, and surgical stress. The importance of maintaining the level of albumin in burn patients is crucial for the contribution of wound healing, decreasing susceptibility of sepsis and preventing Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome as the leading cause of death in burn patient. Methods: This prospective study was performed by taking data of pre and postoperative serum albumin level, in correlation to the percentage of burn tissue excised. Twenty eight subjects were collected from January-June 2018 with criteria of adult (17-45 years old) with extent burn > 20% within grade 2B and 3 who came to Hasan Sadikin Hospital within 24 hours after burn, excised area 5-20% TBSA in 3 rd th – 5 days after injury, Hb preoperative was 10 gr% with normal Body Mass index (BMI). Data was analyzed using paired
