Triglyceride Concentration In Seminal Fluid Analysis And Its Relation On Asthenozoospermia In Infertile Population Of Males In Indonesia = Konsentrasi Trigliserida pada analisis cairan seminal dan hubunganya dengan asthenozoospermia pada populasi pria infertile di Indonesia.

Backgound: There are many factors that can contribute to male infertility. Triglyceride is one of contributing factors to male infertility due to its usage as an energy source for the sperm motility. Low concentratration of triglyceride is suggested as a leading factor of asthenozoospermia. Aims: This study was conducted to find the correlation between triglyceride concentration and asthenozoospermia in fertile population Methods: This study was conducted as an observational and analytical study conducted by using case-control and retrospetive to evaluate the correlation and the effect of triglyceride concentration on asthenozoospermia and normozoospermia patient. The source of data was obtained from samples belonged to total 35 patients. 20 are diagnosed with Normozoospermia and 15 are diagnosed with asthenozoospermia. Results: Correlation test is done between the concentration of triglyceride and normozoospermia using Shapiro-wilk test. the concentration of triglyceride and normozoospermia does not have a normal distribution, with the score of p=0.003 (p>0.05). While the result of Shapiro-Wilk for the concentration of triglyceride and asthezoospermia have a normal distribution, with the score of p=0.690 (p>0.05). Non parametric hypothesis test is done using Mann-whitney test is done to see the correlation between the concentration of triglyceride with normozoospermia and asthenozoospermia.
