Pengaruh Terapi Akupunktur Terhadap Insomnia pada Pasien Hemodialisis Kronik = Effect of Acupuncture Treatment for Insomnia in Chronic Hemodialysis Patients .

Insomnia pada pasien hemodialisis kronik masih merupakan masalah yang sering dialami dan mengurangi kualitas hidup pasien. Terapi yang ada belum memberikan hasil yang maksimal, dan obat-obatan mempunyai efek samping. Terapi akupunktur dapat dikembangkan sebagai terapi untuk mengurangi gejala insomnia. Dua puluh delapan pasien insomnia yang menjalani terapi hemodialisis dibagi dalam dua kelompok secara acak, kelompok akupunktur (n=15) mendapat terapi akupunktur pada titik HT7 Shenmen, PC6 Neiguan, GV20 Baihui dan EXHN1 Sishenchong, sementara kelompok kontrol (n=13) mengunakan jarum yang ditusukkan ke plester pada titik yang sama. Terapi akupunktur dilakukan saat hemodialisis, seminggu dua kali sebanyak 10 kali. Skor PSQI dan WHOQOLBREF dinilai saat sebelum terapi, terapi ke-5 dan pada akhir terapi. Terdapat perbedaan bermakna skor PSQI ((4,20±2,27 vs 11,23±3,37); p=0,000) dan WHOQOL-BREF ((94,53±10,08 vs 82,69±11,90); p= 0,008) antara kelompok akupunktur dan kelompok kontrol pada akhir terapi akupunktur. Terapi akupunktur secara efektif meningkatkan kualitas tidur dan kualitas hidup pasien hemodialisis kronik.

Insomnia in chronic hemodialysis patients still a problem that often experienced and reducing their quality of life of patients. Recent therapies not yet provide optimum results, and medications have side effects. Acupuncture treatment could be developed as a treatment for reducing symptoms of insomnia. Twenty eight hemodialysis patients with insomnia were divided randomly into two groups, acupuncture group (n = 15) received acupuncture treatment at the point HT7 Shenmen, PC6 Neiguan, GV20 Baihui and EX-HN1 Sishenchong, while the control group (n = 13) using a needle inserted into the plaster at the same point. Acupuncture treatment was done during hemodialysis twice a week for 10 times. PSQI scores and the WHOQOL-BREF assessed before treatment, 5 treatment and at the end of treatment. Significant differences in PSQI score ((4.20 ± 2.27 vs 11.23 ± 3.37); p = 0.000) and WHOQOL-BREF ((94.53 ± 10.08 vs 82.69 ± 11.90) ; p = 0.008) between the acupuncture group and the control group at the end of acupuncture treatment. Acupuncture treatment effectively improve the quality of sleep and quality of life for chronic hemodialysis patients.
