Evaluasi Penilaian Estetik Terhadap Teknik Rhinoplasti Secara “Manually Adjusted Sun-Shield” = Aesthetic Outcome Evaluation Of The “Manually Adjusted Sun-Shield” Rhinoplasty

Pendahuluan: Rhinoplasti augmentasi adalah salah satu prosedur yang paling
popular di bedah plastik. Hasil yang baik dengan simetri dan proyeksi nasal yang
tepat masih menjadi tantangan hingga saat ini. Teknik rhinoplasti terkini
menggunakan graft dari kartilago konka untuk mendapatkan rotasi tip nasi yang
lebih baik, proyeksi yang tepay dan augmentasi dorsum nasi. Penulis senior
mengembangkan suatu teknik yang dinamakan “manually adjusted sun-shield
rhinoplasty” untuk augmentasi dorsum nasi dan membentuk tip nasi
menggunakan kartilago konka tanpa implant sintetis.

Materi dan Metode : Studi cross sectional, dengan menggunakan evaluasi pre
dan post operasi untuk menilai teknik “manually adjusted sun-shield
rhinoplasty”. Fotografi serial dari pasien sebelum dan sesudah operasi akan
dinilai proyeksi nasal, sudut nasolabial dan sudut tip nasal.

Hasil : Teknik rhinoplasti secara “manually adjusted sun-shield” memberikan
hasil penilaian estetik berupa peningkatan proyeksi nasal, sudut nasolabial dan
sudut tip nasal dalam batas normal.

Kesimpulan : teknik rhinoplasti secara “manually adjusted sun-shield”
memberikan hasil penilaian estetik berupa peningkatan proyeksi nasal, sudut
nasolabial dan sudut tip nasal dalam batas normal.



Background
Augmentation rhinoplasty is one of the most common procedure in aesthetic
surgery. Excellent result in term of symmetry and adequate projection remain a
challenge. Modern augmentation rhinoplasty utilizes autograft from choncal
cartilage to achieve better tip rotation and projection and also dorsum
augmentation. The senior author developed a modified technique named
“manually adjusted sun-shield rhinoplasty” for dorsal augmentation and tip
contouring using only autologous choncal cartilage graft.
Material and Methods
A cross sectional study, with pre- and post- design to evaluate the aesthetic result
of the “ manually adjusted sun-shield” rhinoplasty. Pre- and post-operative serial
photographs of each patient will be evaluated by an independent observer.
Result: Augmentation rhinoplasty using the “manually adjusted sun-shield”
technique gives an aesthetic assessment of improving nasal projection with
maintenance of natural projection, nasolabial angle and nasal tip angle.
Conclusion : Rhinoplasty using “manually adjusted sun-shield” gives a better
aesthetic result in term of increase length with maintaining a natural looking
nasal projection, nasolabial angle and nasal tip angle.
