Korelasi asupan asam lemak omega-3 dengan kadar TNF-a pasien kanker serviks stadum IIB-IIIB di RSUPNCM Jakarta = Correlation between omega-3 fatty acid with TNF-a in carcinoma cervix stage IIB-IIIB patient at RSUPNCM, Jakarta

Pada kanker serviks terjadi peningkatan kadar sitokin-sitokin proinflamasi, salah satunya adalah TNF-α, yang dapat memicu perubahan metabolisme dan berkurangnya asupan. Salah satunya adalah asupan asam lemak omega-3 yang bersifat antiinflamasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya korelasi asupan asam lemak omega-3 dengan kadar TNF- pasien kanker serviks stadium IIBIIIB Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan desain studi potong lintang pada 33 subyek di RSUPNCM, Jakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, FFQ semikuantitatif, pengukuran antropometri serta pemeriksaan laboratorium. Didapatkan 63,6% subyek penelitian berada pada rentang usia 46-59 tahun, memiliki tingkat pendidikan rendah (78,8%) dan tingkat penghasilan rendah (54,5%). Status gizi sebagian besar subyek (51,5%) adalah cukup dengan IMT 22,64 (15,63-30,13) kg/m² . Didapatkan median asupan asam lemak omega-3 subyek adalah 0,9 (0,3-4,00) gram dan rerata kadar TNF- α serum subyek adalah 17,40±10,44 pg/mL. Dengan perkiraan rata-rata kebutuhan energi total subyek 1500 kkal/hari didapatkan 93,9% asupan asam lemak omega-3 subyek kurang. Sebagian besar subyek memiliki kadar TNF-α serum tinggi (57,6%) yaitu diatas 15,6 pg/mL. Sisanya 14 subyek (42,4%) memiliki kadar TNF-α serum normal.Pada uji korelasi asupan asam lemak omega-3 dengan kadar TNF- α serum subyek tidak terdapat korelasi bermakna dengan tingkat kemaknaan p=0,649 dan korelasi yang sangat lemah (r=0,082).

Aim: To assess correlation between Omega-3 fatty acid with TNF-α in carcinoma cervix stage IIB-IIIB patient. Methods: A cross sectional study had been done at RSUPNCM Jakarta, where thirty three subjects were choose consecutively from 55 people need to be analyzed. Data collected by interviewing were age, education, income and intake omega-3 fatty acid (using FFQ) previous month. Laboratory counting were used for anthropometric measures (body weight and hight) and TNF- α. Result: Most of the subject (63.3%) were in 46–59 years old, with low education and income (78.8% and 54.5%, consecutively). Subject’s nutritional statuses were normal (51,5%), with body mass index 22.64 (15,63-30,13)kg/m 2 . Intake Omega3 fatty acid is 0,9 (0,3-4,00) gram and mean TNF-α is 17,40±10,44 pg/mL. Spearman test result for Omega-3 fatty acid and TNF- α showed very low correlation (r=0.082) with p value 0.649. With subject median calorie needs per day is 1500 kcal, 93.9% subject had low Omega-3 fatty acid while only two subjects (6.1%) had middle-high intake Omega-3 fatty acid. Most of the subject (57.6%) had high TNF-α serum (above 15.6 pg/mL) while 42.2% had normal TNF-α. Conclusion: There is no correlation between intake Omega-3 fatty acid with TNF-α
