Efektivitas penyuluhan terhadap pengetahuan mengenai pencegahan skabies pada santri pondok pesantren di Jakarta Selatan = The effectiveness of education about prevention awareness against scabies to the student of pesantren in South Jakarta.

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi dan perbandingan tingkat usia, pendidikan, jumlah sumber informasi, serta sumber informasi paling berkesan dengan tingkat pengetahuan santri tentang pencegahan penyebaran parasit Sarcoptes scabiei sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan. Para santri pesantren X di Jakarta Selatan dikumpulkan untuk kuesioner pretest, selanjutnya diberi penyuluhan tentang pencegahan scabies, dan kemudian diberi kuesioner posttest setelah penyuluhan. Data yang diperoleh dimasukkan ke dalam komputer kemudian diuji dan dianalisa dengan program SPSS 21. Subjek penelitian ini didominasi oleh siswa SD/Imtihan dan SMP/tsanawiyah (89%), berusia ≥17 tahun (81%), mendapat informasi dari ≤3 Sumber (90%), dan informasi berasal dari petugas kesehatan/dokter (68%). Dari variabel-variabel yang dinilai dalam penelitian ini (usia, tingkat pendidikan, jumlah sumber informasi, serta sumber informasi paling berkesan), terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan pretest mengenai pencegahan skabies yang bermakna antara sampel dengan sumber informasi paling berkesan berasal dari petugas kesehatan dengan non petugas kesehatan (p=0,004), serta terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan posttest mengenai pencegahan skabies yang bermakna antara sampel dengan jumlah sumber informasi >3 dan ≤3 (p=0,032). Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan yang bermakna antara sebelum penyuluhan dengan setelah penyuluhan (p=0,000). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan tentang pencegahan Sarcoptes scabiei pada para santri di pondok pesantren X di Jakarta Selatan dinilai cukup efektif.

This study was conducted to determine the distribution and comparison of age, education, number of information resources, and the most impressive information resources about the prevention of scabies before and after counseling in the student of pesantren X at South Jakarta. The students were collected to be given pretest questionnaire, then counseling of scabies prevention, and posttest questionnaire after counseling. The data obtained were entered into a computer and then tested and analyzed with SPSS 21. The subjects of this study were dominated by elementary school/Imtihan and junior high school/Tsanawiyah students (89%), aged ≥17 years (81%), being informed from ≤3 sources (90%), and information derived from the health officer (68%). Of the variables assessed in this study, there are level of knowledge differences about the prevention of scabies in pretest among a sample with the most memorable information from health officers and non-health officers (p=0.004), and there were level of knowledge differences about the prevention of scabies in posttest between samples with a amount of information resources >3 and ≤3 (p=0.032). There were significant knowledge differences between pretest and posttest (p=0.000). Education about prevention awareness against Sarcoptes scabiei to the student of pesantren X in South Jakarta was quite effective.
