Relation between AgNOR Proliferation Index and Age in Astrocytoma patients. = Hubungan Antara Indeks Proliferasi AgNOR dan Usia Pada Pasien Astrositoma.

Astrocytoma is a primary intracranial tumor derived from astrocytes cells of the brain and is the most common infiltrating glioma.This tumor can affect both adult and children, which most occur in either cerebral hemisphers or brain stem, but both spinal cord and cerebellum are less commonly affected site.The research design in this study is retrospective cohort study that aim is about finding relationship of Age and prognostic factor of astrocytoma. There were 48 participants included in this study, and descriptive analysis was conducted. The result showed that bothAgNOR proliferation index and age in astrocytoma patients had no correlation. The most common incidence for astrocytoma case is in 41-50 age group patients, while the most group of age has the highest number ogAgNOR proliferation index is group of age 11-20 years.

Astrositoma adalah tumor intrakranial primer berasal dari sel-sel astrosit dari otak dan tumor yang paling umum glioma. Infiltrasi ini dapat mempengaruhi orang dewasa dan anak-anak, dimana paling banyak terjadi dalam hemisphers atau batang otak. Namun sumsum tulang belakang dan otak kecil kurang terpengaruh. Desain penelitian ini adalah retrospective cohort study yang bertujuan untuk menemukan hubungan antara indeks proliferasi AgNOR dan usia pada pasien astrositoma. Sampel populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 48 peserta dan analisis deskriptif digunakan pada penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa indeks proliferasi AgNOR dan usia pada pasien astrocytoma tidak memiliki korelasi. Insiden yang paling umum untuk kasus astrocytoma ialah dalam kelompok usia 41-50 pasien, sementara kelompok yang paling usia memiliki jumlah tertinggi AgNOR indeks proliferasi adalah kelompok usia 11-20 tahun.
