Hubungan Keberadaan Larva Ae. aegypti dengan Penutup Container di Paseban Barat, Jakarta Pusat. = The association between the container’s cover and the Existence of Aedes aegypti larvae in West Paseban, Central Jakarta.

Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia antara lain di Paseban Barat sehingga perlu dilakukan pemberantasan dengan cara memberantas vektornya. Untuk pemberantasan vektor diperlukan survei entomologi guna mendapatkan data dasar. Karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan larva Ae.aegypti dan hubungannya dengan ada tidaknya penutup container. Penelitian yang menggunakan desain cross sectional ini dilakukan di 100 rumah pada tanggal 2-3 Mei 2009 di Paseban Barat, Jakarta Pusat. Container dikategorikan menjadi 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok container berpenutup dan container tidak berpenutup. Data diambil dengan single-larvae method dan dianalisis dengan Fisher’s Exact Test. Dari 100 rumah yang diteliti didapatkan house index 12 %, container index 5,8 %, dan breteau index 18. Larva lebih banyak ditemukan di container tanpa penutup (17) dibandingkan di container berpenutup (1), namun pada Fisher’s Exact Test tidak didapatkan perbedaan bermakna antara keberadaan larva Ae. aegypti dengan penutup container (p = 0,545). Disimpulkan bahwa kepadatan dan penyebaran vektor DBD di Paseban Barat termasuk tinggi dan keberadaan larva Ae. aegypti tidak berhubungan dengan ada tidaknya penutup container.

Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is one of major public health problem in Indonesia especially in West Paseban therefore it is necessary to conduct vector controlling. It is necessary to conduct the entomology survey to control the vector to get the baseline data. Therefore, the aim of this research is to study the association between the existance of Ae. aegypti larvae and the container’s cover in West Paseban, Jakarta This cross-sectional study obtained the data from a hundred houses on 2nd-3rd May 2009 in West Paseban, Central Java. The containers are categorized into two groups which are container with cover and container without cover. The data was collected using the single larval method and analized with Fisher’s Exact test. From one hundred houses which were observed it is discovered that the value of house index is 12 %, the container index is 5, 8 %, and breteau index is 18. Larvae were found more in the container without cover (17). However, in the Fisher’s Exact test, it is found that there is no association between the existance of Ae. aegypti larvae and the container cover (p = 0,545). It is concluded that the density and distribution of the DHF vector in West Paseban is high and the existance of Ae. aegypti larvae is not associated with container cover.
